Is acrylic better than fiberglass?
Acrylic is a solid surface rather than a thin gel coat over fiberglass, so it resists cracking, chipping and fading better and will not absorb stains the way a porous surface can. It is also available in a much wider variety of styles, colours and patterns. Achievers installs acrylic tubs, showers and walk-in tubs.
Do you install walk-in tubs for aging in place?
Yes. Walk-in tubs are one of the acrylic options we install, and our sales team includes Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists who will help you choose the right model for your bathroom. You can see finished examples in our walk-in tub gallery before you decide.
